No business can justifiably complain about a lack of awareness-raising concerning the GDPR, but we at Willis Towers Watson believe strongly that there’s still insufficient appreciation of the implications of the Network & Information Systems Directive (NISD) which similarly came into force in May this year. We therefore invite you to join us for an informative and interactive breakfast seminar with guest speakers from Atkins (part of SNC Lavalin) and Norton Rose Fulbright.
This session will provide an initial overview of the NISD but will then address issues such as:
• The nature of the cyber security threats that can trigger NISD exposures
• Whether compliance with the GDPR necessarily means compliance with the NISD
• Whether the same incident can trigger both GDPR and NISD regulatory actions and fines
• The approach we might expect in practice from the NCSC and competent authorities
• What incident response might look like
