Since 2016 the Strategic Transport Apprenticeship Taskforce - with representation from the Department for Transport and key customers including HS2 and Highways England -  has been working to increase the number of high quality apprenticeships in the UK transport sector.
The Civil Engineering Contractors Association and Highways Term Maintenance Association are supporting this work. Our organisations are working with Balfour Beatty and BAM Nuttall to develop a trial in the Midlands to consider how businesses across the region can work together to recruit and train apprentices in key roles.
To ensure that this work is focused on the areas of greatest need, we want feedback from employers in the Midlands on the types of apprentices that your business needs, and where you would like them to be trained.
Please can you take just five minutes to fill in the following survey.

Question Title

* 1. Your details - these will not be shared and are solely used for data analysis

We are looking at the possibility of creating a shared or brokered apprenticeship model for the Midlands, under which multiple employers could work together to lower the cost of apprenticeship delivery. Our model would look at agreeing common courses and bringing together demand from across employers to reduce delivery costs. If possible, we may also look at sharing apprentices between employers where workload would otherwise make recruitment of apprentices difficult.

Question Title

* 2. Would your company be interested in potentially taking part in a brokered or shared apprenticeship pilot?

Question Title
