Mid Ulster District Council Pitches Survey 2021 - School |
Introduction and Respondent details
The Council is committed to the continuing growth and development of the Mid Ulster district, including sports provision. The development of this strategy will help the Council to balance the needs of the rural Mid Ulster region, improve its current services and build sustainable services ensuring that the needs of future generations are uncompromised.
Ultimately, the strategy's focus is to support the betterment and benefits offered to our citizens and to link with our Community Plan by encouraging active lifestyles, helping to reduce the incidence of a range of life-limiting diseases and improving health and well-being outcomes for people living in Mid Ulster.
It is also hoped that the final strategy will allow for a cross-service approach to the use of pitches and recreational space which involves Leisure and Outdoor Recreation, Health & Wellbeing, Community and Good Relations services working collaboratively to achieve shared objectives and build positive relations.
