Westleton Village Hall: 2021 Community Survey |
In 2010 the community response to the Westleton Parish Plan reported that most people considered the Hall inadequate and supported on-going improvements. Ten years later those building improvements have been made, including a warmer, well lit, asbestos-free Hall; a new, well equipped kitchen; a new foyer area for exhibitions and social gatherings, and a consulting room.
This was achieved through Community Fundraising and Grants from Major Funders such as the Big Lottery. The Hall reopened on 29th February 2021 and we are keen to know how people feel about the new facilities, and how we can best use & improve the space over the coming years.
While the Hall is now a COVID-19 secure space, the pandemic has restricted use over the last year. However, in line with the 2017 Survey on activities people would like to see, plans are now in place or being developed with organisers and User Groups to offer foot-care, hairdressing, physiotherapy, exercise classes, more talks, courses, art, music, theatre and film events, games and quizzes, a Kids Club and Pre-school Group, cooking and weight loss programmes, and several other activities when the Hall is allowed to reopen.
We are keen to learn what you think. This will help us in future planning, and the information may also be used to report to our major Funders. Information supplied is strictly confidential and you may remain anonymous if you wish.
