In September 2020, Resuscitation Council UK introduced an updated version of the form (version 3) used to guide and document conversations using the Recommended Summary Plan for Emergency Care and Treatment (ReSPECT) process.

While the changes we made were based on feedback from professionals, patients and family members it is important that we continue to capture people’s experiences of the ReSPECT process.

We would like your help to understand how well the changes we have made support conversations between people, their families and healthcare professionals about future care and treatment.

If you are using the version 3 form, either as a health or social care professional, patient, legal welfare proxy/LPA or family member involved in a ReSPECT conversation, we would appreciate your views.

Your anonymous responses will help us understand people’s experiences of the ReSPECT process. They will be grouped together with other people’s responses to give us an overall picture of how the ReSPECT process is being used in practice and help us to make the ReSPECT process even better.
