Our Council’s Community Safety team consists of 24 patrol staff based across Dumfries and Galloway. These patrols are out from 7am to 10pm most days of the year with the aim of deterring antisocial behaviour and detecting and ultimately fining those offending. The team also offer a mediation service to assist neighbours to resolve disputes.
A review of the team has generated a sharper focus on their core work to deter antisocial behaviour through high profile Community Safety Engagement Days. This activity will start in May and the results of this survey will influence the activities and help direct public information campaigns.
