Overview

pdnet is the national network for all those supporting learners with a physical disability.

As part of our work with the Whole School SEND Consortium (WSS), we are currently developing guidance to support schools to write accessibility plans so that they can better include learners with a physical disability.

This work contributes to DfE contract 'Strategic Support to the Workforce in both Mainstream and Special Schools Contract', the aim of which is to support EVERY school to deliver an inclusive education for ALL children and young people.

The survey

To inform this work we are inviting schools to participate in this survey to help us to better understand current practice around the writing and use of accessibility plans. We are also inviting schools to share good practice examples in the form of a case study.

Who should take part?

We are keen to hear from Headteachers, SENCOs, Senior Leaders and any other school staff member who are involved in writing and/ or using the school accessibility plan.

How will my responses be used?

Your responses will be collated and used to inform the development of the accessibility plan guidance for schools. Direct quotes may be used to illustrate points, but no identifiable information will be shared.

As this work forms part of our contract with Whole School SEND, we may be obliged to share data with nasen and/ or the DfE. In this instance only anonymised data would be shared unless explicit consent has been given.
