The Crafts Council is keen to build up a long term picture and so for the third year in a row, we would ask you to take a few minutes to tell us about your international work and sales.

We will use the findings to improve our programmes and to influence support from government and other decision-makers that invest in the sector.

We’ve already persuaded the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport to include more craft disciplines when they measure exports figures. Findings from this survey will help us fight your corner further and to work with the Department for International Trade to overcome makers’ export barriers. Through this research we have also developed and launched our International Exports Toolkit, giving makers and creators all the information needed to export abroad, this can be found here: International Exports Toolkit.

This is our third survey of this type and will take no more than ten minutes to complete.  All individual responses will be treated confidentially and analysed anonymously (please see Crafts Council’s Privacy Policy).

Please also note that the term ‘export’ encompasses a number of goods and services, for example delivering a workshop in another country is an export, as is exhibiting abroad and selling work at that exhibition.

Many thanks for your help.
