The Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act came into effect on the 1st April 2017 and communities in Scotland can now make use of it!
Lochee Community Group are kindly hosting this free workshop which will be delivered by Community Health Exchange (CHEX). This is a chance to find out what the Act contains and how community–led health organisations and other groups they work with can make use of it in order to take forward the sorts of things they want to do. As well as providing a general overview, the workshop will introduce you to:

- How community organisations can use 'participation requests' to start a dialogue with public bodies, including health boards and local authorities, about things that matter to them.
- Changes to community planning and how community groups might be able to have their voice heard.
- Provisions around asset transfer and community right to buy.
