Thank you for completing this survey. Your response will help us to understand how Northumberland County Council can best meet the childcare needs of parents/ carers in the area.

Your response will be kept entirely confidential.

Coram Family and Childcare is an independent organisation, and is running this survey on behalf of Northumberland County Council.

The deadline for completing the survey is Friday 6 October 2023.

Why are you doing a survey?

We would like to hear about the type of childcare you use and whether the right childcare and support is available to you.

By childcare we mean formal childcare such as nursery; childminder; nanny/ au pair; before and after school clubs and holiday clubs as well as informal childcare such as grandparents and friends.

We hope that this project will help to improve access to childcare and support for you and other families in Northumberland.

What are the questions about?

It should take you about 10-15 minutes. We ask about your opinions, preferences and experiences of childcare for your child(ren), and any further support you need.

We will also ask about you and your child, such as your age, gender, the area of Northumberland you live in, and ethnicity. This will help us in our work to promote equality and diversity across the borough.

How will the survey be used?

We will write a report based on people’s answers. We will not publish your individual survey responses or share them with anyone outside the survey team.

The report will be published by Northumberland County Council.

How will my data be protected?

Your answers will be stored in our secure folder until May 2024 when they will be deleted.

If you have any questions or would like more information about this research, please contact Coram Family and Childcare on: childcare@coram.org.uk
