The Principles for Responsible Investment’s (PRI’s) recent review of investor action on biodiversity identified a lack of access to appropriate data to assess company performance and evaluate fund or investment real-world impact as a key barrier to scaling up action on biodiversity. A survey of 327 asset owners and managers by Credit Suisse confirmed lack of data as a challenge that is preventing investor action on the topic.

The PRI has commissioned Chronos Sustainability and Globalbalance to undertake a scoping study to understand the extent that existing data initiatives on biodiversity meet investor requirements, and identify data challenges and potential solutions.

We would like to seek your input into this work via this survey. The survey aims to understand how institutional investors and their stakeholders currently use biodiversity-related data. We will use this to identify the data and tools needed to enable biodiversity to be fully integrated into investment decision-making.

Following the qualifying question below, the survey has 20 questions. It should take in the region of 15-20 minutes to complete.

Participants will be invited to a webinar at the end of the project which will present the findings.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.
