This survey will take no more than 5 to 10 minutes of your time. By supporting our research you are helping to standardise verification training in oncology pharmacy.
In the UK, oncology pharmacy is a recognised speciality that requires additional postgraduate training. Some training in oncology is provided in undergraduate degree programmes but varies from university to university. Apart from the broad cancer specific professional development curricula provided by the RPS as part of it’s credentialing for their faculty there is no defined standardised training program.
This means that there is potentially a lack of consistency in the training standards, a variation in skills of trainees and variation in the resource needed to deliver training.
Pharmacists moving from one organisation to another may also have to repeat local training, despite having skills as need to be locally accredited.
