TEAMS Young Leaders Programme (16 to 24 years old) - Peace IV
The TEAMS Young Leaders programme is a project supported by the European Union's PEACE IV Programme, managed by the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB).The TEAMS Young Leaders programme is being delivered in partnership by Mid and East Antrim Borough Council and Otium Leisure Consultancy. The Young Leaders programme is for young people (male and female) aged between 16 and 24 years old currently living in Mid and East Antrim Borough Council interested in developing their coaching skills. No previous coaching experience is necessary.
The course is both active and classroom-based, the following will be delivered: Role of the Coach, Leadership, Physical Literacy, Games based coaching, Sports Performance Analysis, Dodge Ball coaching award, Safeguarding certificate and Good Relations.
The course is suitable for young people interested in coaching team sports such as Football, GAA, Rugby, Hockey, Cricket, Netball, Basketball, and others.
The programme is being delivered over five days in 2 parts, each participant must complete both parts:
Part One - Attend a 3-day coach education course - 29th to 31st July in Ballymena OR 5th to 7th August in Larne
Part Two - Complete two days at a multi-sports camp as a coach assistant - 19th to 23rd August Ballymena OR Larne
