This is your opportunity to influence the future development of the Civil Parish of Lambourn. When formally adopted, the Lambourn Neighbourhood Development Plan will have legal force.

Why should you complete this questionnaire?

We need to know what you think is important when planning the future for your business enterprise within the Parish. Your answers to the questions will help influence the future development of the local economy within the Parish of Lambourn, making local policies for local people.

Those policies, set out in the Neighbourhood Development Plan, will stand with National and West Berkshire planning policies, and will have legal status. Planning applications will have to comply with the policies in our Plan.

The Localism Act of 2011 enables residents and local businesses to have more say in the development of their neighbourhood. Over the last 3 years the volunteers on the Lambourn Neighbourhood Development Plan Steering Group have been consulting with and informing our community about a NDP.

Before the Plan becomes a legal document, all those registered to vote in the Parish will be able to take part in a Parish referendum to say whether they approve the Plan. Whilst the Plan cannot prevent development, it can have a say in where it takes place and what it looks like and will, via this process, identify what is needed.

A copy of this questionnaire is being sent to all local businesses. None of the answers are linked to your business in the final analysis, therefore your responses will remain anonymous.
