Introduction

Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, my March residency with Citymoves Dance Agency SCIO has had to be postponed. I had planned to run a series of movement and community workshops, exploring concepts related to my work 'A falling ballet.'

Citymoves have very kindly continued to support me during this time. With this survey, I am hoping to continue some of the research online and explore how the piece may change in reaction to these weeks of isolation and social distancing.

This survey is a succession of words, words that relate not only to the piece but to the pandemic and its effect on everyday life. Under each word is a comment box where you can write whatever comes to mind.

This could simply be a one-word answer, a situation you have found yourself in recently (or before the virus, if that is what comes to mind), or a meditative response. There are no right or wrong answers. All answers are anonymous, however I will ask at the end of the survey if you would be happy for me to share some of the answers for the purposes of research (whether that is through conversations with Citymoves or in working with the creative team). This is not in any way obligatory.

More information about the project can be seen here. I have also written two of my own responses, which can be viewed here

You can read these before the survey if you would like, or after, or never! It is completely up to you.

Thank you very much for taking the time to fill this in - maybe it will spark something creative!
