Learning and Teaching in Practice is designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills you will need to teach successfully. It will introduce you to planning learning activities and study programmes; how students learn; teaching large and small groups; classroom management; teaching and learner support; and developing teaching materials. Participants will also deliver a short teaching session which will be assessed by the course facilitators and peer learners. Participants may choose to submit an additional teaching and learning related portfolio for assessment against the requirements for Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (AFHEA).
Please complete this form to register your interest in attending Learning and Teaching in Practice (LTP).

The three-day LTP workshop is compulsory for any research student required to teach who has not undertaken approved training or who does not hold a certificate in learning and teaching in higher education. You need to attend throughout all three days of the workshop and pass an assessment of a short teaching session in order to pass the course.

The course must be completed and passed BEFORE you start teaching.

Places will be allocated only to students who have completed this form.  Learning and Teaching in Practice is over-subscribed and priority will be given to students who have to teach as part of their funding arrangements.

If you are allocated a place and subsequently find that you cannot attend, please let us know at research.training@anglia.ac.uk immediately so we can re-allocate your place.

* 1. Preferred LTP Course in order of choice:  you must attend the whole day on all three days (10.00 am to 16.30 pm).  The usual format is 2 consecutive days, and break of 1 day, then the final day.  Exact dates will be advised.

* 2. Your details:

* 3. What course will you be teaching on?

* 4. When do you think you will start teaching?

* 5. If your teaching is already planned, please enter the details of a member of ARU staff who can confirm that you will be teaching as above

* 6. What type of teaching will it be? (Tick all which apply)

On completion of this form, your expression of interest in LTP has been registered.  This does not mean that you have booked your place.

We will allocate places no later than 1 week prior to the start of the course you have selected.  If you have not heard by then, please contact research.training@anglia.ac.uk to confirm.

If you no longer need your allocated place, please contact research.training@anglia.ac.uk as soon as possible so that it can be re-allocated.
