Research for Snowboard binding information

Invitation paragraph

You are being invited to take part in a research project. Before you decide it is important for you to understand why the research is being done and what it will involve. Please take the time to read the following information to decide whether you would like to take part in the research or not. If you decide to take part in the research, you are welcome to discontinue your inclusion at any point.

What is the purpose of this survey?

The aim of this survey is to gain information on the snowboard industry consumer. It will include questions involving your problems faced with snowboard products and your opinion on snowboarding products.

How have I been chosen?

This survey will be distributed to different snowboarding blogs and communities to get the highest volume of data.

Do I have to take part?

It is up to you to decide whether or not to take part. If you do decide to take part you will be given this information sheet to keep and you can still withdraw at any time without it affecting any benefits that you are entitled to in any way. You do not have to give a reason. In the case of health and social care, deciding to take part or not will not impact upon/adversely affect your (or that of others) treatment/care or education.

How long will the research take?

The survey should take approximately 5 minutes and then there will be no further inclusion in this experiment.

What are the possible benefits?

Whilst there are no immediate benefits for those people participating in the project, it is hoped that this work will aid in the production of a fully functioning and viable product.

Will my taking part in this project be kept confidential?

The data collected by this survey will be kept completely confidential and there will be no way to identify you through them. At the end of the survey they will be deleted.

What type of information will be sought from me?

The aim of my product is to overcome the problems faced by modern day snowboard bindings, such as: snapping ladders, iced up rackets and snow build-up on the footbed. Therefore, in this survey I shall be asking questions about your physical attributes along with your personal preferences when it comes to snowboard accessories. This information will go towards me improving my design and potential solutions to the problem.

Finally…

If you decide to take this survey, Thank-you very much, as you are helping me continue my research to the highest level I can!
