Private and Community Nature Reserves (PCNR) Network Registration and Review

Somerset’s Private & Community Nature Reserve (PCNR) Network was set up to support private owners, community groups and land managers who are keen to conserve wildlife on their land. The group is run by volunteers and staff within the Somerset Wildlife Trust.

In the past few years several key volunteers have retired from their roles, and our regular newsletter has lapsed. We are aware that your own circumstances may have also changed, since our previous review in April 2009, or from when you joined the Network, so we are taking this time to review our Network list. Please complete the below details to register whether you are joining the network for the first time, or have been a member for many years.

A lot of land is held in private ownership in Somerset, including valuable spaces for wildlife. By understanding what, where and how much land is being managed for wildlife privately we can make better decisions and understand what work is needed to restore nature across Somerset.
