About this survey

Who is this survey for?
The Leeds LGBT+ Mapping Project has developed this survey for funders and infrastructure organisations who operate in Leeds.

There are 21 questions in this survey.

Why have we developed this survey?
In our research on Leeds’ LGBT+ assets and challenges we identified that the majority of LGBT+ related community activity in the city had little to no funding and was volunteer led.

We found that some of those active in the community felt there was an ‘activist glass ceiling’; they were unable to access the resources necessary to do sustainable community work as they did not know how to engage in third sector support.

Without access to support in the form of resources, funding or skills training the sustainability and longevity of LGBT+ community action is at risk.

What we want to know
  • how funders and infrastructure organisations understand the resource needs of LGBT+ communities in Leeds
  • if the offer from funders and infrastructure organisations is accessible and appropriate to LGBT+ communities
  • how LGBT+ community action in Leeds can be best supported and grown
With the data from the survey we will produce a brief report of key findings and preliminary recommendations, this will be shared with all participants and project stakeholders.

When does the survey close?
The survey will close on Thursday 30th November

In completing this survey we will acknowledge your organisation as a supporter of the Leeds LGBT+ Mapping Project
