Peer Support Survey |
Leaders in Family Peer Support for Diabetes
Leaders in Family Peer Support for Diabetes comprises parents of children and young people living with Type 1 diabetes, who are trained Peer Leaders and currently involved with the NHS as family reps or patient experts.
Together, we have 3 main ambitions:
To design and develop an effective and safe framework of peer support for parents and children, functional and accessible across regions;
To share experience, support and advise each other in our individual endeavours and challenges;
To be a valuable resource for the diabetes teams, networks and the NHS where patient or peer leader input is needed;
To this end, we will work as a group and with external partners in order to ensure that the model of support we develop is well-informed by best practice and safeguarding guidelines, rewarding for everyone involved and sustainable over time.

As part of our scoping project, we would like to establish what current parent/carer peer support is being offered within each unit, if any. Therefore we would be really grateful if you could complete the very quick survey.
