Moray Council Budget 2024-25 - Sport and Leisure Services Engagement

Moray Council continues to explore options to achieve £15m of savings over the next two years through increased charges, reduction in services or changing how services are delivered in Moray.

The Sport and Culture Service is responsible for the provision of swimming pools and indoor sports, outdoor pitches and leisure facilities and the booking function for community use of schools. Moray Council directly operates 5 swimming pools in Forres, Keith, Buckie, Speyside and Lossiemouth - all co-located with the secondary schools - each with varying dry sports facilities too (e.g. sports halls, fitness suites and all weather pitches). When not in use by schools the swimming pools are used to deliver our swimming lesson programme, offer targeted swimming sessions (e.g. adult sessions, aqua aerobics, family sessions), public swimming and swimming club private bookings.

As part of budget savings / transformation considerations, we seek your views to feed into this process.  The survey will be available until the 8th December 2023.
