Sefton Voluntary, Community & Faith Sector Training Needs Questionnaire (March 2019)

In order to support Sefton CVS in considering and planning for the training needs of its local Voluntary, Community and Faith Sector, we are asking organisations and groups to complete the following survey to help us identify:

·         Training required by your paid staff and volunteers

·         How many of your workforce (paid staff and volunteers) require training

·         Preferred approaches for accessing training

·         Preferred days and times for face to face training delivery to best meet your work force needs.

Responses to the questionnaire will be used to support Sefton CVS in more accurately meeting the needs of the local Voluntary, Community and Faith Sector in relation to our training offer. The majority of training we offer to local VCFS groups is FREE.

The questionnaire is split in to 6 thematic areas including

1.   Days and Times that would be best for different groups of staff to access face to face training e.g. Paid Staff, Volunteers and Trustee’s

2.   Group Development and Capacity Building

3.   Governance and Policy

4.   Leadership & Management

5.   Finance

6.   Frontline

This is mostly a tick box exercise; however we recommend printing off the PDF version of this document so you can discuss staff needs with colleagues before submitting your response.

When completing this questionnaire please submit just one submission from your organisation which represents your whole workforce training needs. You can tick multiple choices under headings to reflect your organisations needs.
