Introduction

The Lincolnshire Coastal Destination BID (Business Improvement District) was established in 2017 and is an organisation whose aim is to raise the profile of our resorts and towns and ensure that those who live, visit or do business here have the best experience possible.

This UK wide BID initiative is designed to work on behalf of the eligible tourism, hospitality and retail businesses that fall within the catchment areas as set out in each individual business plan.  The Lincolnshire Coastal BID Ltd has one of the largest and diverse catchment areas of all BID’s and strives to achieve its four key values as set out in the strategically designed coastal business improvement plan.

To ensure the longevity, sustainability and overall success of the local economy by increasing footfall and visitor numbers, the primary focus is for the BID to deliver and promote their own signature events, as well as funding and supporting other events delivered by various external organisations.

Alongside Events, the BIDs additional and significant key values are Destination Marketing, Business Support and Environmental Projects.

The Lincolnshire Coastal BID is led by a Board of Directors, whom volunteer their time and expertise in support of the success of the Lincolnshire coast. All Directors are driven by their own individual local business sectors and share the firm belief that if local businesses take a collaborative approach and work together, they will have a more influential voice in shaping the future of the destination.

Over £500,000 per annum is currently collected in levy which funds the annual business plan activities.

BIDs are required to vote every 5 years in order to renew their mandate. The Lincolnshire Coastal BID will come to the end of its first term on 31 August 2022 and unless the majority of businesses vote YES to continue it for another 5 years, all current activity will cease at that time. To secure a second term, we need to stage a renewal ballot in April 2022 and produce a brand new 5-year Business Plan and your feedback will influence the content of the new Business Plan.

As we emerge from the aftermath of COVID-19, the business environment is fragile. To enable and support the recovery of the coast, continuing to work as a collective partnership in support of the Lincolnshire coastal tourism economy and promoting the “Visit Lincs Coast” brand at a strategic and professional level remains vital.

As an eligible business, please take the time to complete this survey. All responses will be treated in the strictest of confidence.
