Leeds City Council is currently working with the Centre for Local Economic Strategies (CLES) on a piece of research exploring the wider economic, social and environmental impacts of the council’s procurement practices and spending. As part of the research, we are examining the spend of suppliers and contractors to the Council in the local economy.

Council records show that you have received payment(s) from Leeds City Council in the 2017/18 financial year and as one of our suppliers or contractors we hope that you will be able to help with this research by filling in the following survey. It should take no longer than 5-10 minutes to complete.

For questions that require a numerical answer, estimates are fine and please leave blank any questions that you do not wish to / cannot answer. A partially completed survey is still useful for this work.

If you have any queries about the content of the survey, please contact Matthew Todd at CLES on 0161 832 7871 or via email at

The information you provide in this survey will be treated in the strictest confidence. No individual suppliers will be identified and the findings from questions will be presented cumulatively i.e. suppliers to Leeds City Council employ 400 Leeds residents.
