A survey for the wine trade

A group of leading wine PR companies and generic bodies has come together to pool their experience and ideas to work out how best to organise future trade tastings in as safe a way as possible.

The aim is to produce a comprehensive set of guidelines to reassure all stakeholders that, as an industry, we have carefully considered all aspects of how to organise and host safe Covid-aware trade tastings and that, in turn, you feel able to attend trade tastings with confidence.

The following hygiene measures will become standard practice:
  • Hand sanitiser widely available on arrival and throughout the venue. Must be used on arrival by all.
  • Regular cleaning of facilities tables wiped down regularly and cleaning equipment provided to all exhibitors.
  • Event staff PPE: training, health checks, disposable gloves, face shields and masks.
  • Social distancing signage including one-way routes, no groups, waiting areas and 2m distance (or whatever the government distance guidelines are at the time).
