Located to the north of London, UK. Serviceline employs 200 people in UK and is one of the leading service providers in our industry. We provide a wide range of aftermarket solutions and products for commercial and institutional food service equipment with a nationwide, 24/7 service.

Used by major restaurant and hotel chains, independent restaurants, hospitals, schools, airports, correctional institutions, canteens, etc Serviceline are fundamental in ensuring these facilities are operating when the client needs them most.

Job Title:                 Service Engineer  

Reporting to:           After Sales Manager

Job Role:
Serviceline engineers are geographically spread to provide nationwide coverage, based from home with a company vehicle engineers are required to undertake diagnostic / repairs and preventative maintenance on catering / refrigeration equipment as directed by the service support team within their regional area.

Key responsibilities will include, however not limited to:
·          Carry out planned and reactive maintenance works at customer sites, as directed by the service support team, and or customer need.
·          Actively highlight and report any additional works required for the continued reliability of customer assets.
·          Ensure all Health & Safety guidelines are met and adhered to, notifying your manager of any issues or concerns, both for your own and the safety of others
·          Respond promptly to requests / instructions in a timely manner, meeting SLA requirements 
·          Provide weekend cover and out of hours’ service on a rota basis
·          Ensure all paperwork and documentation is completed correctly and promptly
·          Diagnose chargeable tasks in compliance with company policies and procedures
·          Provide updates on work or tasks on a regular basis with your Job Manager
·          Accurately and securely maintain all vehicle stock, tools and equipment 
·          Ensure that both yourself and your vehicle are presented to company standard, following company working policies and practices as directed

Person specification and skills
·         Appropriate formal qualifications in refrigeration, Gas servicing and or working with electricity (e.g. IEE 17th Edition)
·         Diagnostic ability, able to accurately fault find quickly and efficiently
·         High degree of flexibility in working hours and types of jobs undertaken
·         Ability to work in a team and in isolation using own initiative
·         Customer handling skills - be comfortable dealing with customer enquiries and complaints
·         Excellent time management ability with full UK driver’s license
