Extend the whole school day from Monday - Thursday, to provide 'catch up' opportunities such as extra reading. This includes extra physical and creative activities, plus support for children with feelings and emotions. This would replace after school clubs. More after school clubs to choose from, some linked to learning. Library open for parents and children after school each day. Change what the children are learning in the first term back, to concentrate on the 'basics' and help with feelings and emotions.
