The Vitality Big Half 2020 - Community Entries

Please complete the following form to apply for community entries in The Vitality Big Half 2020 taking place on Sunday 1st March 2020.

Community groups must apply for a minimum of 5 places. Each place is £10. Once payment has been made for places, no refunds will be issued. Making an expression of interest does not guarantee you entry. 

We will be in contact within 10 working days of submitting your application.

Please note that runners must be aged 17 or older on the day of the event.

For the purposes of The Vitality Big Half 2020, a community group is defined as a local group or organisation, sports club, school, or a local charity delivering benefits to their local community in London. To be eligible they must operate from and support only London residents, including formal or informal groups that can demonstrate they fit the above definition of delivering activities to benefit their their local community in London. National and international charities are not eligible for community entries.

The organiser reserves the right to reduce the number of places requested.
If places are confirmed but not used in 2020 they cannot be deferred for the following year.

Payment has to be made before places are confirmed. Individual runners within a community group will be able to make payment for their own places but they will all need to be able to pay by card.

1. In these terms and conditions the following words shall have the following meanings: -
‘’LMEL’’ shall mean London Marathon Events Limited
‘’Rights’’ shall mean in respect of the Community Bond entry the following rights during each year of the Term subject to the terms of this agreement
‘’Term’’ shall mean 1 year from the date of the certificate
‘’Event’’ shall mean The Big Half organised by London Marathon Events Limited
‘‘Community Bond entry holder’’ shall mean the person, firm or company to whom a bond is issued or by whom it may be owned from time to time
‘’EOI’’ shall mean Expression of Interest
2. By submitting the EOI online form the Community group is accepting the place(s) and your commitment to pay the Community Bond entry fee of £10 per place, which must be paid before the deadline fixed by LMEL before each Event.
3. LMEL reserves the rights to refuse to allocate Community Bond entries to applicants without giving any reason. Applications will only be accepted on an official form either sent through the post or email.
4. Community Bond entry holders shall be entitled to the Rights throughout the Terms subject to the restrictions herein and such other regulations as LMEL shall make in writing from time to time
5. Community Bond entry holders may not transfer the entry to another charity, group, firm or company without written prior agreement from LMEL
6. The Rights and their exercise shall be subject to the following restrictions: -
(a) Guaranteed entries shall not be sold or offered for sale, nor may they be used in any way in connection with, or as part of any competition, lottery or promotion save one that is open only to employees of the community bond entry holder the Community Bond entry holder may publicise the availability of Guaranteed Entries to the public in the Media and only then in such form as LMEL shall authorise in writing
(b) Guaranteed entries shall only be used by a person who is 17 years or older at the date of the Event
(c) LMEL reserves the right in its absolute discretion to refuse to allow entry to the Event to any person
(d) The Community Bond entry holder shall be responsible for ensuring the fitness and suitability for the Event of the person whom Guaranteed Entries are given
(e) Guaranteed Entries shall only be val
7. If the Community Bond entry holder is completing the online form on the behalf of the runner, you are agreeing on their behalf to the terms and conditions of the Event
8. In the event of the Event not taking place for any reason, LMEL shall have the right at its option either to extend the Term of the appropriate period or to return to the Community Bond entry holders pro rate percentage of the Price
9. The Community Bond entry holder may not carry forward unused places. If the Guaranteed Entries are not used in the year purchased, they are lost with no reimbursement given. 

10. None of the rights attached to or guaranteed by the entry may be exercised at any time when monies due to be paid in respect of the entry remain due and unpaid
11. LMEL shall have the absolute right to terminate any community bond entry and all rights of any Community Bond entry holder in the event of the holder being in breach of the Terms hereof and failing to remedy such breach within 14 days’ notice from LMEL
12. LMEL may obtain, use, process and disclose personal data about you in order that we may provide you with the Golden Bond benefits and discharge the services agreed hereunder, and for other related purposes including updating and enhancing client records, analysis for management purposes and statutory returns, crime prevention and legal and regulatory compliance. You have a right of access, under data protection legislation, to the personal data that LMEL holds about you.
