Truro Businesses - please tell us your views on Truro’s Festive and Events Offer

Truro BID aims to support Truro and its businesses by increasing footfall to the city. Whist the Festive offer was different in 2020 due to COVID, this gave us a chance to do things differently and Truro BID delivered a number of initiatives including:

·  The City Centre Christmas Lights, the illuminated Cathedral Installation on Trafalgar roundabout and over 80 Illuminated Reindeer for shop windows.

·  Truro’s Virtual Christmas Lights Switch-on streamed on Pirate FM’s Facebook page, generating 27.5k views.

· ‘Space to shop’ at late night shopping Wednesdays by funding extensions to road closures until 9pm, projections of large illuminated visuals in Boscawen St and River St and street entertainment on Saturdays and Wednesdays.

·  Walkabout Theatre shows by sponsoring Coppice Theatre to perform Jack Frosty's Stories.

We work with Truro City Council and Visit Truro to plan events and take into account businesses, residents and the visitor. Truro City Council also facilitates events on Lemon Quay. Visit Truro is a service provided by Truro City Council and they also aim to attract footfall to the city.

Please answers the following questions to tell us your thoughts on Truro’s 2020 Festive offer. Your views will be considered when planning in future, along with the need to deliver a strong offer to attract residents and visitors to Truro.
