Wild spaces in cities |
Thank you for taking our survey. NovelEco is a research project in Trinity College Dublin, Ireland and we are seeking your opinions on wild spaces in your town or city. Our team of researchers has created a survey that, we hope, will enable citizens to give us some insights into how they see wild spaces and what values they feel these spaces may have. We are also looking for suggestions of examples of wild spaces in your town or city, because there is no record of urban wild spaces in the world! This is an anonymous survey and it will take about 20 minutes to complete, though we do ask some general questions about yourself, but all the information you provide is completely protected. This research project abides by the principles of confidentiality, anonymity, and storage of data according to the Trinity College Dublin data management policy. All data collected through this survey will be held securely and confidentially in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation 2018 and the Data Protection Act 2018. Any identifiable information about you (personal data), including the transfer of this personal information about you outside of the EU, will be protected in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Your data will be gathered on computer files not stored in the ‘cloud’, and accessed only by our researchers through a password-protected double authentication process.
We assure you that this is a strictly confidential survey, and responses are anonymous. Under no circumstances will your individual responses be made available to anyone outside the research team. Any identifiable information will be coded using an assigned ID for purposes of confidentiality. By taking part in this survey, you will be asked to provide the following information only if you consent to participate in a follow-up interview and/or workshop: your full name and email address.

Anonymised direct quotes of your words from the survey might be used in publicly available study reports, academic publications, and other research outputs. Participants can withdraw their data up to one month after the survey completion by requesting it via email from the researcher.
