Following the Prime Minister's announcement that children in year R, 1 and 6 might possibly return to school from 1st June, please can I ask that you complete this short survey to help inform our initial planning.

Please note:
The Government is recommending that children should initially be in classes of 15. This will allow for some additional room but will NOT meet any requirements for a 2m social spacing.

It is considered by the Government and Local Authority that limiting social interactions with other children and regular handwashing routines will be sufficient.

When further classes return to school, the class sizes will therefore need to be made larger.

We will do everything we possibly can to keep your children safe within the constraints of these guidelines. It is therefore important that you know this in order to make an informed decision for your child at this current time. We will understand and support your choice.

We fully appreciate that you have your own challenging circumstances to take into consideration when making your decision.

* Any return to school will be in a phased manner and will be planned so that we can do everything possible to keep our children and staff safe and will follow any guidance from the Government.
* This is to inform our planning only - no firm decisions have been made yet
* The Government have confirmed that families will NOT be penalised for keeping their children off of school during this pandemic
* Home learning will continue during a phased return

Below is a list of the things that we have already put in place, or are considering putting in place, to support a safe phased return.

* Staggered drop off times and areas
* Staggered break times
* Staggered lunch times
* School lunches eaten in their designated classroom
* Zoned play areas for each group
* Designated classrooms
* Designated seats and desks (areas will be disinfected during any changeover of groups)
* Regular hand washing throughout the sessions
* Staggered collection times and areas

The government has just released further guidance for parents and carers regarding reopening of school:
