Community Pharmacy IT Survey Part 1-current use of PMR systems

My name is Jenny Berner and I am an Erasmus student at Cardiff University and am engaged in a project looking at the current and future Digital needs of community pharmacists.

In recent years there has been a consistent reduction in pharmacy dispensing remuneration and it is clear that pharmacy businesses need to adapt to this environment. Other industries that have faced the same challenges have used IT and other Digital technologies to respond and make their practices successful.

It is for this reason that I am asking you to complete a questionnaire on your current use of IT and other technologies in your pharmacy. You can complete the questionnaire in one of two ways:

1) Complete this online version of the survey.
OR
2) Request a paper version of the questionnaire using my email address below.

If you feel that somebody else within the pharmacy is better placed to answer the questionnaire, please allow them to do so; the respondent does not have to be a pharmacist.

Your responses will remain completely confidential.

The survey should take about 20 minutes to complete.

Your views are very important to me and I look forward to publishing the results of this survey so that future developments take in to account the views and needs of community pharmacists.

It is likely that I will develop a follow-up questionnaire (based on the results of this questionnaire) to explore unmet needs with current IT solutions in the pharmacy.
