MVAP market research

We are Manchester Volunteer Advice Partnership. We train volunteers and professionals to give high quality advice on welfare benefits, housing and debt. We also run workshops designed to improve understanding of these systems for professionals working with vulnerable clients so that they can better understand what support is available, and signpost these clients to get better help.

Unfortunately our funding will run out next year and we are now looking at how we can keep this valuable training going and different models we can develop.  We are asking organisations who have not previously accessed our training before to tell us about their organisation's approach to training and how we could help.
1.Do you work with people who have difficulties with benefits, debt or housing (even if you are not an advice organisation)?

If yes this survey is for you and we would love to hear from you.

If no – thank you for your time.
2.If you have heard of Manchester Volunteer Advice Partnership before, what has stopped you or your colleagues completing training with us?
3.How many people do you work with on a yearly basis?
4.Out of the people you work with, approximately what percentage have issues around debt, benefits and housing?
5.How confident do you and your colleagues feel talking about welfare benefits, housing and debt with the people that you support?
6.Do your staff/volunteers access training on welfare benefits/debt and housing issues?
7.How likely would you be to pay for your employees/volunteers to receive training on these topics?
8.How often do you pay for training for your employees and volunteers to be delivered by an external organisation?
9.What is the name of the organisation you work for
10.Would you be interested in hearing more about MVAP and how we might be able to support your volunteers and staff over the next 6 months?
