Justice During Lockdown

Fair Trials (www.fairtrials.org) is a human rights charity working to protect fair trial rights in criminal cases. We are concerned about the impact of Covid-19 on the human rights of suspects and defendants in criminal cases: Are suspects are getting effective access to a lawyer in police custody? Are people being held on remand for longer and with less effective oversight? What impact are delays and remote hearings having on defendants’ rights?

The survey is short, and we would be very grateful if you could take approximately 15 minutes to answer on the basis of your experience and expertise. This survey is anonymous, but you can also choose to provide your name and contact details for the purpose of taking part in a short follow-up interview. Any data included in reporting will be anonymised. If a question is not relevant to your experience or you do not wish to answer it, do skip it.

If you have any problems completing the survey, please contact Bruno Min at Fair Trials (bruno.min@fairtrials.net).

Thank you for your time.
