Welcome to the Young Women in Governance Research Project! (Motion 32)

Hi! The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (or WAGGGS) is conducting a study to develop a global/regional and national strategy to increase young women in decision-making roles in the Girl Guiding/Girl Scouting Movement. Specifically, we want to:

1. Know the current status of young women in decision making roles;
2. Understand why it is important to have young women in decision making roles;
3. Understand the barriers and opportunities on young women in decision making roles;
4. Identify best practices to engage young women in decision making roles.

We are doing various data collection activities like this survey. Participation in the survey is voluntary. If there is a question that you don't want to answer, you have the option to skip it. You can also stop the whole survey at any time.  However, we hope that you will participate and complete the survey because your views are important.

If you agree to participate, all information that you will provide will be strictly confidential and anonymous, and will be used only for this study. We will not write your name, nor ask you to sign your name in any other documents. Only results that summarise what the group said will be used in documents and/or presentations so your identity will be kept private.

This survey is for young people (16-30 years old). If this isn't you please find the appropriate survey. If you have any questions about the study, you may contact Miguel Camacho (miguel.camacho@wagggs.org)
