We have been asked to design some information resources about the educational support available for young people with special educational needs aged 16 to 25. We would like to get the opinion of young people with special educational needs who are in this age group, to find out what information they would find helpful.
The questions in this survey are directed at young people. However, we are happy for parents or carers to help young people fill it out. In the event that a young person is not able to fill out the questionnaire, we are also happy for their parent or carer to fill it out on their behalf.
Just remember, if you’re a parent or carer, that when a question says ‘you’ we mean your son, daughter or the young person you care for – as best as you can, try and answer from their perspective.
By undertaking this questionnaire you consent to your answers being used as part of this research project. Your answers will remain anonymous and we will not disclose any information which would identify you personally.
The questionnaire is made up of 4 sections, containing 25 questions in total. It should take approximately 10-15 minutes to complete (it may take longer if a parent and young person are working on it together).
This survey is for young people (or their parents/carers) in England only. Unfortunately IPSEA’s services do not extend to other parts of the UK.
