In 2018 The Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) provided a grant to Rom Skatepark to run an event, install an art piece, produce a documentary film, create a new website at www.romskatepark.co.uk and set up a heritage exhibition in Havering Museum .

The purpose is to raise awareness and attract new audiences to secure the future of the Rom Skatepark.

A two day celebratory BMX and Skate Jam took place on July 14th and 15th, alongside skate deck building sessions run by the FAR Academy. The London Police produced a unique one off street art piece at the park with the idea to inspire the park to become a showcase for other street artists.

The film is currently in development and will be released sometime in 2019 . The Rom exhibition in Havering Museum is scheduled for March 23rd 2019 until 6th April 2019.

Rom and HLF would value your feedback on the project during 2018.
