Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland’s PAD QIF Survey
Thank you for participating in this short survey. Our aim is to evaluate current practice for managing chronic limb threatening ischaemia (CLTI) across the United Kingdom and canvass opinions on the treatment timescales within the recently published Vascular Society of Great Britain and Ireland’s (VSGBI) Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) Quality Improvement Framework (QIF).1
The QIF was published in April 2019 with the aim of improving outcomes for patients with PAD. As part of these guidelines, two treatment timescales were recommended in the management of CLTI; the ‘admitted patient’ pathway for patients with ‘severe’ disease (e.g. foot sepsis) and the ‘non-admitted patient’ pathway for those with ‘stable’ disease (e.g. dry necrosis of a digit). These timescales are described by the VSGBI as “deliberately challenging” and therefore we are interested in evaluating current practice in order to learn more about how they will be implemented.
