Initial Information

The English-Speaking Union International Public Speaking Competition runs between 13 and 17 May 2019 inclusive. Oracy Coaches will be required to be available throughout this period, including the night of 17 May, and will be required to stay at the Imperial/President Hotel in Russell Square, London for 5 nights, with check out on the morning of Saturday 18 May.

Responsibilities will include: supervising excursions; providing public speaking training and advice; and providing logistical support to the Competition convenor when required. Oracy coaches are required to be available for participants of the competition and to the convener for the entire week. The week will see oracy coaches deliver a variety of events, some of which will require business attire.

The rate of pay for the week will be £550. All expenses including accommodation, food, and travel will be provided for by the ESU.
 
Interviews may be required and will take place week beginning 11 March. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interviews via Skype/video call.
 
You must be over 18 and must legally have the right to work in the UK to apply. 
 
Deadline for applications Sunday 3 March 2019 at midnight.

All responses will be kept confidentially within the English-Speaking Union, Education department. If hired we may ask for further details on experience or relevant personal information.
