Welcome to My Survey

My name is Lucy Stevens, a Masters student at the University of Cumbria. I am researching the vectors of introduction of invasive non-native species (INNS) into Windermere and coming up with a risk assessment. This forms part of my dissertation working alongside South Cumbria Rivers Trust. This research will hopefully provide a detailed picture of pathways of introduction of INNS to Windermere. This will help in future efforts to keep Windermere free from invasive species and in turn protect the environment, water user's health also activities taking place on the water. This research may be important as the results may be applied to the whole Lake District which may help create steps to avoid this becoming a problem.
This survey is aimed at recreational water users and is designed to gain an insight of water based activities and awareness around invasive non-native species (INNS) as well. Please be as honest as you can in your answers as this will help identify problem areas and help address the best ways to overcome these.
