As part of the British Council's mission to represent the UK in all its diversity, the Theatre & Dance department is offering bursaries for BAME (black, Asian or minority ethnic) artists and producers to attend IETM Brussels, an important international performing arts networking event, in November 2017.

The IETM bursary will provide the opportunity to take part in all the associated IETM activities with a view to sharing gained experience and knowledge upon return to the UK.

Where and when?
IETM plenary meeting takes place in Brussels from 23 until 26 November 2017

What does the bursary cover?
Successful applicants will receive a £500 bursary each. The bursary money can be used to contribute towards costs incurred travelling and staying in Brussels. This might include, but is not limited to travel, accommodation, daily expenses and show tickets.

Who is eligible to apply?
This opportunity is open to BAME artists and producers working in performing arts who are based in the UK. Previous IETM bursary recipients are eligible to re-apply. Our policy is that we will support one person to attend IETM a maximum of two times through this scheme. You must be available from the 23 - 26 November 2017 (inclusive) and allow for appropriate travel time on either side of the dates.
