Hartlepool Local Residents Survey |
Introduction
We need residents to help shape the future of our town by contributing ideas for regeneration and telling us what’s important to you and what could make Hartlepool a better place to live and work.
Hartlepool is one of 100 towns across England invited by the Government to develop innovative regeneration plans to transform their economic growth prospects and secure up to £25m of funding through the Towns Fund.
Each town is required to develop a Town Investment Plan, and as part of this process we will be talking to people about the challenges and opportunities they see for Hartlepool.
Bringing life back into the town centre has already been identified as a key area of work.
There is already much to celebrate within Hartlepool – not only our coastline and waterfront areas, green spaces, our unique heritage and identity, but also our successful education establishments, sport, leisure and museum facilities, and award winning projects.
The available funding will help with our economic recovery from Covid-19 and will continue to help us build a stronger Hartlepool. It’s about improving things now and in the future and giving our town the chance for a better future. We need to make sure this funding meets local needs and has the biggest impact on improving our communities.
With this in mind, we want your views to help us to understand local issues and priorities as well as ideas you may have for the future of Hartlepool. This is about:
- Making the town a better place to live
- Creating a place that people want to visit, to spend time and money
- Improving skills and creating jobs
- Making an environment where businesses choose to locate, stay and grow
- Improving Hartlepool Town Centre
- Defining and celebrating what makes Hartlepool special
- Recovering from Covid-19
It would be very helpful if you could spend a few moments completing this survey. Your input will inform the development of BIG IDEAS for Hartlepool.
