Consultation on Admissions Policy for 2021/22

We are proposing to change our admissions policy in order to adopt the following changes to be in effect from September 2021:

·         Reducing the Published Admissions Number (PAN) from 360 to 220

·         Reducing the size of the Sixth Form from 310 to 138

The reasons for proposing the above changes are as follows:

When Fair Oak Academy and Hagley Park Academy merged to form The Hart School in September 2016, it was agreed with the Department for Education that the capacity of the merged school should be reduced to 1,238.  This was reflected in the school’s new Supplemental Funding Agreement.

However, the original PAN of 360 was not amended, and nor was the size of the sixth form. This proposed amendment to the school’s admissions arrangements merely seeks to address these anomalies.

As such The Admissions Code of Practice requires us to consult with stakeholders.  Our proposed full policy can be viewed on our website or you can request a copy from the school office.
