Homeshare UK believes that it supports the strategic direction of Newcastle City Council in suggesting a viable option to delay older people entering a formal care provision and supporting them to remain independent in their own homes for longer by offering safe, informal support at home. Newcastle City Council plans to develop further interventions which deliver living longer and with better health in homes and develop links to communities and existing flexible support services. Wellbeing, nutrition, and transport challenges can also be addressed by the scheme.
This survey will contribute to how we may develop Homeshare in Newcastle. It should take only a few minutes of your time however if you would like to hear more about the service when we launch, we can of course get in touch with you to answer any questions you may have.
