Do you work within a service, business or organisation in Liverpool or Merseyside? If so, we’d love to hear from you.

Shared Lives Plus is conducting research to better understand people’s attitudes to Homeshare in Liverpool as we are in receipt of funding to develop and deliver the model in this area. There are Homeshare organisations operating across the UK and further afield, however no service with a local focus just in this area. We therefore want to find out what you think about Homeshare and if it’s a service you may consider using in the future.

Some of our Householders and Homesharers share their experiences here.

A Householder is someone who lives alone or with a partner, and has a spare room to offer.
A Homesharer is someone who would be interested in living in the spare room.

Homeshare UK believes that it supports the strategic direction of the City in suggesting a viable option to delay older people entering a formal care provision and supporting them to remain independent in their own homes for longer by offering safe, informal support at home. Wellbeing, nutrition, and transport challenges can also be addressed by the scheme. Homeshare UK contributes to fulfilling the strategic objectives outlined within the Liverpool Ladder to combat homelessness.
