Dear ISAPS Members,

We are exploring the options to enhance our educational offerings in leadership and self-development, and would be grateful for your help to co-create our new ISAPS leadership academy.

Being Leaders in Aesthetics, and working towards our vision for safe aesthetic surgery depends not just on our surgical skills, but also on us being at our best both professionally and personally.

There is significant research to indicate that burnout and stress is an increasing problem in the medical field and for surgeons in particular. Worldwide 60 -80% of medical professionals report that they are experiencing difficulty in balancing patient outcomes with their practice, while at the same time maintaining energy, focus and their own health. Upwards of half of Plastic Surgeons worldwide reported these issues in recent studies and relatively few resources are available to address them.

Our ISAPS Values statement stresses the need to remain resilient in this increasingly complex professional environment and we want to take steps to support our members better in these areas.  We would therefore be grateful for 10 minutes of your time to complete this short survey to explore these issues, and to prioritise our Leadership development activities.

Best wishes,
Lina Triana, ISAPS President
