* 1. 1) We are trying to set up a support network to help our community support each other at this difficult time. There are a number of ideas which have been suggested but the main ones are;

telephone chats to support those self isolating which other isolated people can also help with,

practical help e.g dog walking or shopping

a helpline to co-ordinate this. This is going to be 01463898128 but is not in use yet. It will only be operated part time at least to start with.

We have printed cards for local volunteers who will be assigned a zoned area in IV1 3 and will be responsible for providing support to their neighbours in that zone. The more volunteers we have, the smaller the zones will need to be. Would you like to be involved?

I can volunteer on the helpline rota. I understand that calls will be diverted from the helpline to my own phone and that I'll be letting people know who their local zone volunteer is or directing them to appropriate help either locally or to an appropriate organisation.

I'd be happy to help organise this or help send out the surveys.
