Trafficking & Modern Slavery: Immigration Overview
Common immigration issues and best practice for support providers

This session will provide support workers with an overview of immigration issues that affect survivors. The training will cover asylum claims, discretionary leave as a victim of trafficking, domestic worker applications, family life claims and options for EEA nationals post-Brexit.

This course covers best practice of what immigration legal aid lawyers can and should be doing for survivors, therefore it's suitable for those who are able to give that advice and representation, but also non-legal support professionals, to assist them in advocating on behalf of survivors.

The course will be delivered by Lindsay Cundall and Julian Bild of ATLEU.
