This is what you said, and this is what we did

This is what you said This is what we did
86% of you said they preferred to travel less than 10 miles to access activities We ensured that all of the activities we provide through the short break activity programme took place within the town or surrounding villages
80% of people surveyed were satisfied with the short break activities on offer. We have continued to provide short break activities based on your satisfaction rates
60% of people surveyed said they did not know about the local offer We have continued to work with the parent carer forum to increase awareness and in the process of reviewing and revamping the current local offer of services and better access to information in a variety of ways.
Some families have said that there has been limited places to access during school holidays  We have worked with the providers to see how they can increase access to their services and how they allocate places to families.
78% responded that they received a high quality of care for their child We will continue to work with providers to ensure that staff are qualified and the service meets need to ensure children receive a positive experience.
84% said that the short break activity offered suited their need. We continue to work with providers to ensure that families are heard and constructive feedback is acted upon.
Some families told us that there are few organised activities on weekends and during school holidays We have produced a short break activity programme to inform families of organisations providing activities throughout the year. Promotion of the local offer is regularly done via the parent carer forum.
