The Parish Council Safety Working Group would greatly appreciate your help in gathering data that will assist us in our aim of making our village and its roads safer for all road users, pedestrians and cyclists of all ages.

* 5. In 2016 using the results of a survey of residents and parishioners of the Ness road and associated areas, Burwell Parish Council was successful in obtaining Local Highways Initiative Improvement Funding to improve the safety of pedestrians crossing Ness road. As a result, Cambridge County Council Highways Department have investigated how safer crossing of Ness road can be achieved. The results, presented by Highways at recent Burwell Parish Council consultative meeting and presentation, highlighted numerous severe concerns of the villagers. As a result, the, Cambridge County Council Highways Department cancelled is initial plan / trial and is currently re-evaluting proposals. It will again be requested to consult with villagers relevant authorities, including police.
